Clan Structure
Plains Kaaasht are aptly named for they have the tendency to reside only in the plains, savannahs, and steppes of Tryne. They enjoy the cover that the grass gives them and the freedom of space that they have. Most Clans live deep in the plains, away from the chance of an attack by a rival Clan of Forest Kaaasht. Some of the more war bound Clans live instead on the edges of the Plain, safe guarding their species territories. They often skirmish with Forest Kaasht, although they are also known for fighting Desert Kaasht and Mountain Kaasht.

Plains Kaasht Clans are often large, most exceeding over seventy-five. Sometimes there are smaller Clans that are newly made. Often though these Clans are wiped out by other Clans or by Forest Kaasht who see an opportunity to get rid of an enemy. Most Plains Kaaasht Clans have over two hundred members. Each one, male or female, is well versed in the way to fight another.

Clans in the Plains are often large and sprawling. Most structures are built of grass and whatever wood they can steal from the Forest Kaaasht. Often the kaaasht don't even live in the structures, but instead use them for meeting areas, storage of food, or places where a kaaasht can get into some shade or out of the elements. Most Plains Kaaasht prefer the openness of the grassland, and refuse to live in a cramped home.

The structure of the Clan is almost totally based on how well one can fight another. The Elders of a Clan are often the ones who are the most skilled at fighting and warfare. Females are often considered just as good as males at fighting, as they often need every member of a Clan to fight. Only a few Clans still hold a bar against female fighters. Most kits are taught at young age that fighting is the only way to live. They are hardened to killing, and are often taught using live subjects.

Culture
Life in a Plains Kaasht Clan can be brutal and unforgiving. If a mistake is made or a kaasht loses a battle they are severely punished, and are sometimes killed. They is little room for error in a Plains Kaasht Clan, and kits are taught early on that if they want to survive they had better be the best at what they do.

Honor is a system that does exist in a Plains Kaasht Clan, although the honor that each kaasht holds is different. One Plains Kaasht might think it wrong to kill a weakling, while another might think they are doing the kaasht a service by killing it. Honor is taught as a side, as the ability to fight and destroy another always comes first.

Most Plains Kaasht care little about family matters, and instead wish only that their son or daughter will be a good fighter, therefore bringing them into higher esteem in the Clan. Kits are often punished severely if they make a mistake, or do not learn quick enough.

Kithood in the plains is often short lived. Kits are taught from an early age that Forest Kaasht are the enemy, and need to be killed. They are also taught the same about Skies and any type of kaasht that is smaller than a Forest.

Opinions on Other Species

Opinions on Other Kaasht Types
Mundanes: Mundane kits are often killed at birth. Most Plains kaasht will also attempt to kill any Mundane they see. They have no love for Mundanes, and generally think it better to put them out of their misery. There is no tolerance for Mundanes in Plains Kaasht Clans, and many times if a pair of kaasht give birth to a Mundane they will be exiled or even killed for bringing a Mundane into the world.

Half-breeds: In general they are indifferent with hybrids. They only have a problem with them if they are part Plains, part Forest, part Sky, or any breed of small kaasht. They often see half-breeds as a taint if they have any of those bloods mixed together. Many respect the half-breeds and the large amount of abilities, but most don't want to disgrace themselves by having a kit with another breed. Often Plains Kaasht think of hybrids as good kaasht to have a good spar with because of their numerous abilities. They will often try to test themselves against half-breeds to test how strong they are.

Bi-colors: Plains Kaasht are also indifferent about these kaasht. They do notice that kits tend to disappear if they have more than one color, but they give little evidence of caring. Some respect the bicolors for having more than one color ability, but as with the half-breeds they often see them as interesting sparring partners.

Protectors: They have little care for the Protectors. They see them as good fighters, and respect them for that, but often they won't hesitate to kill one that enters upon a hostile territory.

Guilders: The same as the Protectors. They care little either way.

Opinions on Colours
Most Plains Kaasht tend to be either red, yellow, blue, black, or orange. Often color can be seen as a way to tell how good a kaasht will be able to fight. They consider colors like purple, green, or gold as weak colors that aren't truly useful in a fight.

Respected: Red, Yellow, Blue, Iridescent, Black, and Orange

Indifferent: Translucent, Silver, Purple

Disliked: Gold, Copper, White

Hated: Green
