Appearance:	Vole is a slight female made to look even more emaciated by translucent yellow fur obscuring her black skin. She has large yellow spots on her hide that stand out through the lemon-colored veil of her fur, and her tail is ringed with opaque fur that contrasts starkly with the rest of her ghostly pelt. Her glare stripes are also yellow, helping to reflect light into her eyes in the darkness of the caves.
History:	Vole was as scholarly a cave kaasht as any, and she spent her first two and a half levels studying in the caves. She decided to research cave-dwelling fungi and lizards further, since she was unsatisfied with the current available information on the subjects. At one point, she began to read descriptions of great cities and geography aboveground that cave kaasht had brought back with them from their journeys. Having been born with the ability to Travel, Vole then decided that she might venture forth to the surface and broaden her studies. She now lives aboveground, where she has adapted to living nocturnally. She has concluded that people are much more likely to donate information to her cause if they are unaware of their doing so, so she has grown accustomed to creeping about, eavesdropping, and even thieving to quell her curiosity. This behavior has caused her to become somewhat elitist, and when interacting with others, her preferred means of displaying an impressive knowledge base (which is occasionally made up, if need be) is via a sharp wit. Her self-preserving tendency to run from battle and assist only if her safety is guaranteed also adds to her remarkably poor social skills. She is, therefore, not the most pleasant kaasht to be around, but if one can stand her constant mockery, she might prove a useful ally.
