Appearance: Sear has an average build for a Plateau. She is thin, fast, and agile, though not very strong. Her hindquarters are forest green, with a scattering of shiny silver spots over each hip, and a silver tailtip. Her forequarters are iridescent, fading from green in her middle, through aqua, to a deeper shade of blue on her head. Her ear tufts and glare stripes are navy blue, and do not have the same iridescent sheen. Her eyes are the same green shade as her hindquarters.
History: Sear began life as a fairly normal Plateau, with the exception of her two colours. As a kit she showed a lot of interest in her abilities, developing and using them, as well as occasionally displaying a near obsessive interest in other areas of study.

The Guild picked her up somewhere in the middle of her second level, and though she was terrified, she quickly resigned herself to her fate, seeing from what happened to some of the other, more rebellious young kaasht around her that blind obediance would get her through life more easily. Fortunately for her, her interest in developing her abilities fitted in nicely with her training. She was able to repress her feelings about what was happening and detach herself from the emotional side of killing another kaasht to the point where the whole business started to seem perfectly normal for her. She gave up wanting to get out, completely resigned to her new fate in life. With this attitude, she passed through her training with relative ease, and due to her talents was picked out to be trained as an Assassin.

Upon graduation, she made no move to try and return home or to escape. She didn't care about either, and instead focused obsessively on her work, believing that if she did so, any traces of her old self would stand no chances of returning. In her mind that was a weakness that she couldn't allow - returning to her old self might cause her to rebel, and she knew what happened to any kaasht that tried that. For her own safety, she kept doing what she did best.

Sear became a quite successful Guilder over the course of her life, completing her missions with, efficiancy, absolute obediance to those above her, and a Plateau's typical emotional detachment. She specialised in stealth and quick, clean killings, quite frequently making use of her Shadow Blade ability. It was this mixture of qualities that resulted in her being picked out for a very important Guild mission - to enter into the palace in Alcaine and kill the Sky kaasht elders.

Sear was one of the small group of Guilders who survived the eventful journey to Alcaine and made it into the Palace itself. She witnessed Chameleon summoning the Life Elemental, and at that point, something snapped inside her - maybe it was the sudden realisation of just what Chameleon had been trying to do all this time, but something, for that moment, changed her usual submissive self, and she fled the city while Chameleon and Falcon were fighting. Desperate to put as much distance as she could between herself and the site of so much killing, she eventually took shelter in a forested area just outside the city, where she still remains.
