Mano, once a desert Kaasht named Manoshin, has had it hard during his life. As a desert he was a slave to a cruel master, and was killed at the claws of his oppressor. When Mano found out that he would have another chance at life he swore that he would fulfill his new purpose. Mano's first bond was a bicolored named Charsa, and he stayed with her for many years. As she grew she began to forget him, to ignore him, and soon grew irritated by him. One day Mano, decided that he had finally had enough; but when he told Charsa she grew angry and attacked him. Leaving him for dead the bicolored left and a young desert kit found him. Nursing him back to health the desert, who's named was Jaeda, was taken in by Mano as his new charge. Later on, when the Murin was out finding food for the loner kit, Mano was alerted to his charge's distress, and found her being captured by a slaver Minena by the name of Nazneen. Mano remained with Jaeda, and with time the Minena took a liking to the two of them and took them in as her own. Mano communicates with Nazneen as he does Jaeda but he does not see Nazneen as his charge.
