Appearance: |
Relatively average to start with, Chyodu's a bit lean for a Tundra, but the sort of lean that comes from walking long distances, not from hunger. She also trims her fur when her travels take her into warmer climates where the Tundras' natural insulation is more a hassle than anything, so more often than not it looks a bit scraggly. Marking-wise, she could be mistaken for black/orange at a distance. Her coat is actually black, marked with liberal amounts of spots in varied sized in a patchwork pattern of reds and oranges and yellows. Her feet, tailtip, and belly are entirely black, however, another hint towards her actual (single) base color. |
History: |
Chyodu always had a fondness for ice-sculpting, but never really went anywhere with it as a younger kaasht. It took an avalanche and the loss of her mate to get her to pay more attention to her hobby-both as a way to keep busy and not angst and as a way to make money. Ice sculptures weren't permanent, sure, but she found that there were often rich kaasht in cities that would pay for one for an event. While she's dabbled in other mediums like stone and clay, ice is her specialty, ephemeral as it is in warmer areas. Without another kaasht to help raise Meysllok, she went on the road, as it were, traveling from place to place-anywhere where she could get food. Hunting was risky with only one kaasht-if something happened to her, what would her kit do? Other than that, she's taken a strange cheerfully apathetic view of the whole thing. After all, there was nothing she could have done, and dwelling on it wouldn't solve anything. One thing that does annoy her, however, is overly sympathetic kaasht insisting a) she should have angst and b) it needs fixing. She's perfectly fine...if they want to be sympathetic, buying a nice ice sculpture's the way to do it, not clinging to her and sobbing. It's her supposed angst, isn't it? Caves seem to like doing this the most, and as a result she's a bit snappy around them until prove not annoying. If anything, she's rather content in a Tundra sort of way. So long as there are kaasht that like ice sculpture, she'll keep on living the way she is. |
