Name: Raishikyuu (rye-she-cue)
Gender: Male
Age: 42 (Level 2)
Species: Plains Kaasht
Height: 8'

Species Ability: Speed of the Falcon
Other Abilities: Attention Slip, Eagle Eye, Fire Dragon, Fire, Grass Blades, Lie with Ease, Link, Open Ground, Sense, Shock Wave, Shocking Grasp, and Sun Flare.
Appearance: Raishikyuu is pretty tall for his age-- whether he grew early or is going to stay that way isn't clear. He's of a lanky build as a result, and muscular, but nothing that unusual for a Plains. More striking, though, are his markings-- electric blue stripes down his sides originating from face markings of the same, surrounded by royal blue and backed by shades of more midnight and black hues. Some of them must be different enough to not count him as a mundane, though-- and if you doubt that, he'd be more than happy to demonstrate his color ability... most likely on the kaasht accusing him of being one. Not that he has a horrible temper or anything, honest...
History: Somewhat talkaashtive and quite straightforward, Raishikyuu (sometimes called Rai by other kaasht) says what is on his mind most of the time. He's apt to tease those he knows, although he know better than to poke some kaasht, or ones he doesn't know, unless looking for a fight.

Like many a Plains, Raishikyuu learned to fight at an early age. Being bigger than almost all the other kits helped, as did having Shocking Grasp and an electrical color ability. His parents were all too glad to see him old enough to fight... they loved him, but all that electricity got so annoying, and made one's fur all static-y.

Raishikyuu ended up befriending a rather unlikely kit-- another Plains who wasn't exactly good at fighting. At least not with her claws... this was Akebi, who loved a good debate or shouting match, but was a bit scared of getting caught in a real battle. Not understanding how a kaasht couldn't enjoy fighting when it was for fun, he taught her a few useful tricks... mainly, Shocking Grasp, which made close combat a lot less daunting a prospect. He ended up picking up some of her verbal skills in the process... much to the 'joy' of his parents. Oh, goodie, now he was clever-mouthed too.

While the two drifted apart a bit after that, Raishikyuu still keeps his friend in mind. They occasionally get together for things like a war of Attention Slip-- who can make the other lose focus first? Much fun.

The clan he lives in is a pretty calm one as far as Plains clans go... their only neighbors are other Plains some distance away, and Mountain clans to the north. Still, Raishikyuu continues training to fight. Not obsessively, but he's no slouch about it either. Perhaps it's just youthful energy, but he seems like the type to take off somewhere soon if he doesn't find more of an outlet. Perhaps he'd be suited for the wandering life, or perhaps a leadership position in a clan... something to keep him busy.
