Valley kaasht are hardly Tryne's most philosophical creatures, too lazy to pursue theological debates and too energetic to meditate on truth. Stiil, they usually do have a faith of one kind or another. Most widespread is, of course, belief in the Color Spyral and the luck of the three moons. Behind that is agnosticism: the belief that there is probably something out there, some higher power that might have put things in motion, but the belief alongside that, that no kaasht can possible know or understand such a being, so why bother?

The major, Valley-specific religion scholarly Plateaus and Caves have noted is simply called Maax se maa Chaamraa, or Path of the Jester. It has three major requirements: seasonal festivals, respect for the dead, and enjoy life to the hilt. Different clans combine the festivals and more generalized commandments in different ways, from practical joke and riddle contests to moment spent in silence to, less commonly though still in existance, pleasure festivals and orgastic behavior. On the whole, however, Maax se maa Chaamraa is a fairly laid-back religion, like everything else Valley kaasht do.
