The Elementals then gathered together, and decided that they needed to help their children, but that they would not show themselves, and would help in hidden ways. Each decided to take a kaasht in a different area. Life and Death chose the Mystics, and implanted in their minds that they should hide from others and help others quietly and inconspicuously all while being nomads.

Spirit chose the kaasht that had taken to the desert, and helped them adapt with long legs, large ears, and large bodies so as to deal with the sand and extreme heats. Spirit also helped the now Desert kaasht to learn different abilities that would allow them to live more comfortably in the deserts of Tryne.

Time chose the kaasht that had taken to the isles and islands of Tryne, and slowly made them shorter and smaller, like himself. He also gave them abilities that dealt with death as Time was always a pessimistic and grumpy Elemental.

Light and Dark took the kaasht that had chosen to be the true nomads of Tryne, the Plateau kaasht. In them they implanted the want to know how things worked and why things were the way they were. The twins also gave them a range of abilities, mainly in time, matter, and light and dark. They also gave them the ability of flight with an ability so that they could better find and figure out the mysteries of the world.

Air took the kaasht that wished to fly. Originally the poor kaasht were grounded, and had no wings in which to fly with. It took many years to give the kaasht wings and the ability to fly. At first her children were afraid to fly, but with Air's help they were soon flying and soaring, enjoying life. With little help from their Elemental the Sky kaasht decided that they would be peaceful, as no other kaasht except the Plateaus had the true ability of flight, and the joy of flying took away all want and wish to fight. The Air Elemental helped these kaasht to gain the abilities of lightning, air, and weather so as they could help others and so that they could also defend themselves if necessary.

Earth took the kaasht which had taken to the mountains. Earth itself was a very stubborn and rock hard Elemental, and taught his children that to live on the mountains one had to be tough and stubborn to beat them. After years of work the Mountain kaasht were some of the toughest around, with a strong, heavily furred lower body to balance against the mountain, but also able to more than hold their own in a fight. Earth helped them gain abilities in the areas of rock, snow, and ice so that the Mountain kaasht could survive the rough, harsh climate of the mountains.

Metal, at the opposite end, had taken the kaasht that had fled underground. He was a compassionate Elemental, and was always wanting to know about things. He gave his children large eyes and ears and small bodies in which to allow them to hear and see well in the darkness of the caves. He also gave them the need to know about the world, although it was more difficult for them to learn about it. The abilities that he helped them develop were of acid, sound, and light, all of which would help them in the deep darkness of the caves.

Water took the kaasht that had found the lakes, oceans, and rivers to be their sanctuary. She slowly changed them so that they could live both comfortably in and out of the water. She also gave the abilities to live underwater if necessary and to deal with water as necessary. She also taught her children to be calm and quiet, but to always be there in case someone needed their help or just a friend to lean on.

Fire chose the kaasht that have found the plains to be home. Fire was always a temperamental and touchy Elemental. He quickly found that dealing with Wood, who had his kaasht in the forests of Tryne, was going to be an annoying thing to deal with. As it was he already had little liking of Wood, because for a fire to live it needed plants to burn. Wood of course did not want this, and so they squabbled and argued often. For many years they argued and sometimes fought physically causing large amounts of damage to Tryne. As the years went by, even though they kept their arguments from their children, both Fire's Plains kaasht, and Wood's Forest kaasht began to hate each other, their Elementals anger seeping slowly and silently into their children's brains. Fire, in his anger, decided to make his kaasht the warriors of Tryne, and built them tall and strong, with the natural inclining and ability to fight. He did not intentionally set them to hate the Forest kaasht, but the hatred came along anyway. Wood, in return, made his children very protective of their forests, with the strength of body and mind to back it up. He also gave them the arrogance they are so known for so that they could stand up without fear of kaasht coming into their forests.

It took many years, after the Plains and Forests kaasht had their abilities and were finished with their changes that their fights began. It began with the Plains needing wood for fires and other necessities, and the Forest kaasht were adamant about them not taking any. Soon battles were started, and then all out wars between the two types of kaasht. The Elementals Fire and Wood could only stand by and watch at what they had wrought, wondering if their children would survive their hatred of one another. In the end the battles died down as both kaasht lost great numbers of population. For awhile they were quiet but it didn't take long for the squabbles and battles to start up again. To this day they still fight and hate each other.

Plains kaasht though ended up becoming angered and bitter, and sought the other types of kaasht to help them in their war. At that time though none wished to help, which angered them and made them disgusted and angry as all the types of kaasht, although the Sky kaasht were top on their list. They found their total passivism disgusting and contemptible, not to mention that they were jealous of the kaasht ability to fly. It didn't take long for the Plains kaasht to dislike each type of kaasht for some reason or another.

Forest kaasht on the other hand stayed arrogant, refusing help if offered and never sought any allies to their cause. They stayed in their forests, guarding them religiously, allowing few to enter, no matter what species they were.

Poison took the kaasht that had taken to the marshes and swamps of the world. She helped her children to become tough in body and mind, and changed them to best suit the muckiness and dirt of the swamps. She also gave them abilities in the areas of poison and venom so that they could defend themselves from venomous and dangerous creatures of the swamps.

Weather, in his every changing attitude and humor, took the kaasht that were the most likely to become the pranksters and happy-go-lucky kaasht of Tryne. It wasn't hard for him to change the kaasht ways and make them perpetually happy and friendly, if jokesters. Weather himself was a jokester, and loved nothing more than messing with the weather of Tryne, causing rain where it seemed there wouldn't be any, or causing a drought where rain was needed. Of course, none of what he did was serious, and few suffered truly under his jokes. To help his children prank other kaasht, even the angry Plains, he made their abilities in the areas of hiding and get-away, but he also gave them defensive ones in case they were cornered after a nasty joke. In the end the Valley kaasht, not even knowing about their Elemental, joked and made up their own, Death, which they found darkly humorous as he lived to take lives away. Unknowing to the ones that know of the Elementals that they actually have one...

Ice, in ever pessimism and grumpiness, took the kaasht that had chosen the frozen tundras as their home. In his pessimism and anger he decided to make his kaasht short but long in body just because he figured, like himself, they'd never amount to anything worthwhile. Ice himself figures he's the most pointless Elemental as he has control of only ice and snow, which, once melted, are water and therefore belong to the water Elemental. He’s still unsure why she can't control ice and snow as well as they are a form of water. Ice also gave his children the abilities to deal with the harshness of the tundra, giving them the abilities ranging in snow, ice, and light.

Color, the last Elemental, unlike the others, did not make her children. Instead, the Lunar kaasht came about after the Time of Madness. Instead of being Old Mystics though, the magic had changed them. They were the kaasht that had not died or gone mad from the huge influx of magic in Kan'gisha. The magic had changed them though, so instead of looking like a normal kaasht, they had huge rabbit-like ears, unfurred tails, back-manes like a murin, and feathered feet. Males and females differed just like normal kaasht, but in different ways. Another oddity had shown up as well, as the Color Elemental watched. They did not stay one color... each level they grew, they changed color. Not only that, but instead of have a group of abilities for their own, they had to learn abilities from other kaasht. It was then that the Color Elemental decided to take these children as her own. At first there were few... very few... but she helped them grow, to expand until what they are now. She also helped them gain the ability to Foretell the future, if only a little bit. Of course, she had one hell of a time asking Time to grant them this ability. Nonetheless, now the Lunar kaasht are the children of Color, and unlike most other species, they know it.

In the end it took many, many years to have the kaasht become what they are today. The influx of magic had made things very difficult for the world of Tryne, causing many of the creatures to change and evolve on their own and in unwanted ways. One of such is the gurgan, who changed and grew, and some how managed to learn how to build a powerful shield. Many creatures were changed forever, and the Elementals had agreed to let things lie, as they felt that they had done more than enough to Tryne.
